Exploring Colour Further with Ruth Issett
COURSE OVERVIEW
Using cold water dyes and printed dye colour onto a variety of fabric surfaces, this course will give students the opportunity and confidence to explore and develop a personal colour palette.
There will opportunities to explore colours created using a range of dye colours by adjusting proportions and intensities. By combining accessible printing and dyeing processes, intense and subtle colours and effects can be made, or by using stitch, devore and embellishment, surface texture can be included. The possibilities are endless!
A detailed list of suggested fabrics and threads will be sent to students before the course; however dyes and equipment will be provided by Studio Preniac.
So imagine creating rich fruity reds and purple fabrics, or zesty yellow and lime fibres or maybe a cool and calming palette of aquas and ultramarines in the glorious surroundings of Studio Préniac, - I cannot wait!
