"I have been a regular visitor of Studio Preniac over the last few years. It’s a perfect location providing all the inspiration you require to enjoy workshops led by first class tutors. The accommodation is very good and typically French and the food is outstanding which is accompanied by plenty of wine. At the end of a busy day you can lounge in the pool before joining your workshop friends for dinner. This is a very relaxing place and perfect to go to alone or with a friend."

"I travelled there for a course with Amanda Hislop. The accommodation was good as well as the excellent food and drink served. I learnt a lot on the course and met lovely people. Excellent service transporting to and from the airport. I hope I can go there again for another course in the not too distant future."

"As a textile artist this is a wonderful place to go and spend a week with some fabulous tutors and stretch your creative abilities. I have been three times now and if it were closer I'd be there every year! The food has been lovely and it's wonderful to eat outside or in and exchange with new friends who share my interests. The pool is a real bonus too! Trips to surrounding towns and markets give a flavour of life in the Lot."

"I first went to Studio Preniac in 2017 on the recommendation of friends in my textile group. I had a wonderful experience which was repeated over the next 2 years. The house and studio are in a lovely setting. The hosts are warm and welcoming and the hospitality is great. The tutors and the courses were excellent while my fellow guests were interesting and fun. These weeks were a highlight of my year and I’m so sad to have had to postpone my visit in 2020. Here’s to June 2022!"

"I was invited to tutor a summer course in May 2019, and really enjoyed the whole experience of being at Studio Preniac. Set in the quiet countryside, Studio Preniac is a perfect venue for a creative course. The course was very well set up and all the travel arrangement etc worked out perfectly. I had charming bedroom with an ensuite bathroom in the eaves of the house which looked out to surrounding fields. The rustic but roomy well-equipped Studio is set in a beautiful garden which provides an endless source of inspiration, and delightful outdoor spaces in which to enjoy a glass of local wine, dine out of doors, or just relax in hot weather. Inside the house there is a lovely lounge, and a dining area where we feasted on fabulous food based on fresh local produce. Outings to explore Cahors and Montcuq which provided opportunities to shop in the street markets were special feature of the week, as was the warmth of our welcome and the informal relaxed atmosphere of the place."

"I really enjoyed the whole Studio Preniac experience from being met promptly at The airport to being dropped off a week later. The hosts were great food was good and plentiful gluten free not a problem. The course by Louise Baldwin was wonderful and inspiring with a great deal of humour. Would thoroughly recommend."

"Studio Preniac has played such an important role in my creative journey over the past ten years with at least one visit a year. The delightful surroundings and the fabulous hospitality give a true feeling of coming home. Preniac provides the opportunity to work with inspirational tutors in the spacious studio as well as make visits to local villages and markets in this beautiful part of rural France. The days end with a relaxing evening to enjoy amazing French cuisine and local wine in the company like minded colleagues. I’m so looking forward to being back again."

"Preniac is a magical place. Nestled into the hill side and very close to one of the routes to Santiago de Compostela. Everything about my stay there was good. The food and accommodation were perfect. The large workroom enabled us to have enough space to spread out and not to be "on top" of each other. It was very relaxing but also creatively exciting and I still think about my week there in 2015. I was so sorry that Covid 19 meant that the course I was booked on for this year had to be cancelled but I will be back as soon as possible."

This was my fourth visit to Preniac. It is an idyllic place. The generous and kindly attention of Nicki and Chris add to the amazing ambience. The Tutors are top quality and this together with the well organised trips to local markets puts Preniac at the top of my “ to do again” list. Wonderful - thank you.

I attended a course at Studio Preniac in June. My husband, a non-participant in the class, enjoyed bicycling the glorious countryside. Nicki and Chris were the best hosts imaginable. The meals they prepared, the way they looked after everyone's individual needs, their genuine niceness...these things made the week very special. Preniac is a place that I find hard to describe adequately. The rural setting is absolutely breath-taking. It is hard not to be inspired by such a place. Our accommodations were lovely, too. We had a gite that was really a full apartment. It was beautiful and perfect for us. The pool was great and a welcome relief from the summer heat. I am looking forward to the day when I can return. And so is my husband!

The whole experience at Studio Preniac was great. The venue was attractive and comfortable, Nicki and Chris were delightful, welcoming hosts, the food was delicious and I'd love to stay again. It was a pleasure to work with Dorothy Tucker who is a generous and thoughtful tutor. I achieved more than I expected: I was able to develop new skills, try out new techniques and was challenged to produce work that exceeded my personal expectations.

If you're interested in a first rate textile workshop experience in great surroundings, Studio Preniac is the place to go! My week with a great group of like-minded people, ably led by the very talented and generous textile artist Dorothy Tucker, was productive and most enjoyable. We got a taste of the local area on trips out and were so very well looked after by Nicki and Chris who catered for all our needs including presenting us with fabulous food on a regular basis! My husband as "non-participatory partner" was able to hire a bike and explore the River Lot countryside. Perfect!

I had a lovely weeks holiday at Studio Preniac. Nicki and Chris were brilliant hosts and would bend over backwards to help you. The food was amazing and the sewing workshops with Mandy Pattullo really good. We had three trips out too which were enjoyed by all.

I thoroughly enjoyed my week at Studio Preniac. Nicki and Chris are great hosts, the accommodation very comfortable and the location is stunning. That’s before even considering the first class textile course. It’s the sixth one I’ve done, with various tutors, over the years and they never disappoint.

Thank you Nicki and Chris for the fabulous week I spent with you in June. Jan and Jean were, of course, the best teachers, and what a lot I learnt! But in addition to that, what a wonderful time I had. A comfortable room, a fully equipped studio, pool with a view and great, great meals. The company was excellent, the surroundings idyllic and the visits full of charm and interest. Please don't change, certainly don't tell everyone as they will all want to come, and can I come back soon? Have a great summer and a well earned rest!

This is the most perfect place for an activity holiday. Nikki and Chris are excellent hosts. nothing was too much trouble for them. The food they served was delicious, iinaginative and made from fresh, local ingredients. The beautiful countryside provides peace and inspiration, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the pool is a very welcome facility during down-time. Anyone lucky enough to visit Studio Preniac is in for a treat. Thanks to Chris, Nikki, Cynth and Millie.

Because of COVID restrictions I've had a long, long wait before getting back for my third visit to Studio Preniac in May 2022. It was just as magical as ever! A lovely place to spend time with like minded people, learning about art making with an inspirational teacher - Amanda Hislop. Nicki and Chris made us all feel very welcome with delicious food, a visit to beautiful Saint Antonin Noble Val and lots of smiles.

I was fortunate to return this September on a course with Ruth Issett and loved the course with Ruth. She is an excellent tutor and very enthusiastic. The new owners, Nicki and Chris looked after us so well and couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome. It is such a delightful place, and I just loved my time there. The food was delicious and home cooked and I just felt really spoilt! I so enjoyed it and plan to go back next year! I would really recommend!

I first went a couple of years ago on my own having seen an advertisement. I was apprehensive but loved it so much I have returned twice and booked my third course. The setting is peaceful and beautiful. The courses are VERY well run, I experimented, played with ideas, learned loads, made friends and thoroughly enjoyed myself. The accommodation was comfortable, the food delicious, outings were interesting, we were looked after so well. I took short walks daily and took advantage of the lovely pool. I can highly recommend going.
